Personal Mythology and Dreamwork Transformation Intensive
with Stanley Krippner, PhD
EXPERIENTIAL WORKSHOP DESC: The transpersonal dimension is alive with an alchemy of psychic patterns found in stories, repeating themselves in various archetypal forms. Unravel and update your own personal mythology while you experientially learn skills to help your clients' work with their life stories. Through an engaging workshop with Stanley Krippner PhD, a legendary master in mythology and dream studies, who integrates Personal Mythology curriculum with exercises of intuition, energy work, gestalt group work, art, dream work and ritual, you will unravel your personal myth, find a new guiding one, and learn practical skills to assist others in transforming their stories. This workshop has received rave reviews and is a once in a lifetime opportunity to study with a master.
INTRO LECTURE DESC: The Friday 9/18 (7-9:30 PM) INTRO
Personal Myths are those beliefs and worldviews that consciously or unconsciously influence our decisions and give meaning to our lives. Some of these myths are helpful and some are harmful. This introductory lecture will describe the four factors that influence personal myths: biology, culture, interpersonal experiences, and transpersonal experiences. Suggestions will be given for identifying, evaluating, and transforming dysfunctional myths, beliefs, and worldviews. As the Greek philosopher Epictetus wrote, many centuries ago, "It is not what happens to us that is important, it is how we react to what happens to us that is important."
Location: Wise Awakening
Date: Friday INTRO: Sept 18, 2009, 7-9:30 PM
Weekend Workshop: Sept 19-20, 2009 (Fee Includes 9/18 INTRO) Presenter: This workshop is a not to be missed lifetime opportunity. Internationally known for decades of pioneering work in the scientific investigation of human consciousness, Dr. Krippner is a living treasure in Dream Study and Mind-Research, a beloved faculty member (35 years) of Saybrook University, world recognized as an expert in Transpersonal Psychology, internationally known for decades of research in shamanism and mythology. Stanley Krippner, PhD. has written or co-authored over 900 articles and a dozen books, including Personal Mythology, The Mythic Path, Extraordinary Dreams, and Haunted by Combat. His workshops are both educational and experiential, receiving broad acclaim for their transformative function.

Licensure and
certification in professional counseling require the therapist to
participate continuing education to strengthen counselor psychotherapy skills and abilities.
Note on us:
on CounselingSeattle.com Workshop Calendar page. Adding an
apostrophe to a set of initials is a possessive form which we
consider incorrect usage. Therefore, we use upper case initials with a
lower case "s" to show the plural form. Specifically, we use "CEUs"
for Continuing education units [rather than CEU's], "CECs" for
Continuing Education Credits [rather than CEC's], CEHs for Continuing
Education Hours [rather than CEH's] and PDHs for Professional
Development Hours [rather than PDH's].
