This CounselingSeattle.com web site is committed to honoring
the privacy of its visitors. The following summarizes our information gathering and dissemination practices.
We do not collect any personal information about our visitors.
Other than counselor related
advertising, we do not sell any products on line and have no reason to
collect financial information.
We do not sell, trade, exchange or otherwise make available any personally identifiable
information to any other company or organization.
In July 2006, we began
offering an
opt-in list-serve email service for those who wish to be included
in our periodic newsletters titled
"Mental Health Issues Around Washington State," using a respected company, ListCast.com. The newsletter is intended to serve CounselingSeattle.com advertisers and other
persons interested in the website or in new developments in the
mental health or addictions fields. Subscribers will only receive these
occasional emails only by "Op-In" and
completing an op-in form.
Each message will include information about opting out or
unsubscribing, should a subscriber wish to do so at any time.
We do not collect or retain email addresses of persons who
contact us, except for the op-in email newsletter and
for our listed counselors, advertisers, and other
business associates. We will not send you
unsolicited information, commercial offers, or
advertisements.
CounselingSeattle.com participates in the www.Google.com/analytics
program which counts unique (first-time)
visitors to our site. Your identity is not
recorded, but when you revisit the site, the software
recognizes you as someone who has been here before--and counts
you as a
visitor once again, but not as a unique visitor. The
information gathered by Google.com/analytics is used to analyze traffic to the site as
displayed on our
statistics page.
Some of our
general interest and article pages display Google ads.
[Ads are NOT displayed on our counselor or counselor
locator service pages--which means that consumers
searching for a counselor are not exposed to other
advertising.] Google, as a third party vendor, uses the
DART cookie to serve ads on CounselingSeattle.com
site. Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to
display ads for you based on your visits to our site
and other sites on the Internet.
Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by
visiting the "Google ad and content network privacy
policy." If you would like more information about this
practice and to know your choices about not having this
information used by Google,

This site contains several thousand links to
external sites that we believe to be helpful and
interesting. These links are provided to help you
to find specific information. You make the choice
whether to use our links to visit other sites. We cannot be responsible for the privacy practices or the content of
other Web sites.
While we monitor for broken links each week, we have no
way of knowing, if the owner of a link changes. So
if one of our well-intended links takes you to an
unexpected or undesirable site, please let us know so we can
correct the problem.
